Edward Mann are recruiting for a national marketing business based in Darlinghurst.

They are looking for a Finance Manager to work closely with the CEO to lead the finance function and provide leadership to junior staff members. This role will also lead financial reporting schedules, analysis and business partner with various stakeholders across the organisation.

It is a temporary position, paying up to $80 + Super p/h. Initially for 4 months, but with a strong likelihood of extension.

Based close by to public transport and has a 4-1 in office split.

Responsibilities:

Providing and presenting timely and accurate Financial Reports & Analysis.
Managing AP & AR Functions, with the assistance of 2 junior staff.
Maintaining financial projections for the group, including: Profitability, Company Health & Cash flow.
Liaising with Multiple departments, setting up short & long term strategies with different executive/leadership teams.
Producing budgets and forecasts.
Managing AP & AR Functions, with the assistance of 2 junior staff.
Constructing Scenarios & What-if models based on multiple variables provided.
Managing accruals, prepayments, intercompany, maintaining General Ledgers’ integrity
Lodging BAS, PAYG & Payroll Tax on a regular basis.
Working with external CFO on Year End, FBT, R&D and any other finance/taxation matters.
Constantly providing sound financial insights to multiple business units.
Managing job analysis with the department heads, analysing GP, Wages & Overheads, identifying issues and opportunities.
Identifying cost setting opportunities, implementing necessary changes, e.g. within overheads/staffing

Desirables:

CPA, CA or equivalent qualified, those who are studying or qualified by experience will also be considered.
Strong experience in an All-Round Accounting role
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Strong excel skills and systems savvy – Able to pick up and use new systems quickly.
Comfortable being a self-starter who can work independently with a high level of initiative.
Willingness to be involved and do tasks as necessary.
Must enjoy working on different projects and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
