Accountant

​Edward Mann are recruiting for an industry leader in apparel wholesale. Our client specialises in the distribution of leading global brands. They also design and produce their own brands, which are imported and distributed throughout Australia and New Zealand. They have existing relationships with all major department stores and over 200 speciality boutiques, alongside a strong e-commerce presence.

They are a small, tight-knit team with great company culture, work life balance, ongoing training and professional development for career progression which aids in the success of their people.

Located in Rosebery, Sydney, the role is paying up to $90k + super, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to:

•Daily bank reconciliations and cashflow reporting

•Assistance with the preparation of monthly financial reports

•Assistance with budgets & forecasts

•Preparation of monthly commission reports

•Preparation of journals and accruals

•Ownership of Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable function

•Preparation of BAS and GST returns reports

•Inventory management and maintenance of inventory management system

•Generate purchase orders

•Other ad hoc tasks as required

Candidate Requirements:

•Tertiary qualification in finance or related studies, those studying towards will also be considered

•Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, best practice and demonstrated ability to meet tight time frames

•Highly organised, proactive and willing to learn

•Exceptional communication and interpersonal and relationship management skills

•Those with experience in inventory management highly regarded
