Financial Controller

​Edward Mann are currently recruiting for an international media company in Buckinghamshire who are looking to hire a Financial Controller. Leading the UK Finance Team for the business, the role will be responsible for the smooth operation of international finance functions through supporting internal teams and external services.

The role requires a strong analytical mind that can constantly review and improve finance functions to ensure maximum effectiveness. The role will also work closely with the UK and US divisional heads to ensure smooth integration with existing stakeholders, as well as optimising and maintaining management information for each area of the business.

Key Responsibilities

-        Ensuring effectiveness of financial deliverables

-        Ensuring data accuracy and consistency of reports

-        Implementing procedural controls

-        Oversee month end procedures, review profit and loss and balance sheets, and carry out any necessary variance analysis

-        Control of cash flow across different currencies

-        Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and reporting standards

-        Oversee Year-End processes

-        Support senior leadership to deliver a range of business plans

Desirables

-        Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), candidates who are not qualified or are qualified by experience will also be considered

-        International Finance Experience

-        Experience overseeing a finance team

-        Agency/Media experience is desirable
