Edward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a leading Private Healthcare Group in Central London. Our client is looking for a Divisional Financial Controller to preside over 3 business units in Central London. Strong leadership skills are required to effectively manage a team of Management Accountants.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Encourage staff development and undertake regular staff appraisals
  • Review and ensure accuracy of month end results
  • Review and supervise the preparation of Monthly Operating Review packs including preparation of analysis and commentary for CFO review
  • Review of all volume reports to provide an overview top line performance reports and year-to-date trends for the Senior Management Team
  • Contribute to margin reporting to drive growth
  • Provide Informatics reporting
  • Support the internal managers, the Senior Management Team in the preparation of financial feasibilities, business cases and all financial aspects of the preparation for new business services
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of joint ventures, providing one to one financial support for the management of each joint venture, including the preparation of documentation for all board meetings
  • Educate Heads of Department with financial awareness and interpretation of the reports provided by the Management Accountants
  • Take the lead for the volume piece of the budget process, analysing trends, and produce the volume forecast and budget for review by the Senior Management Team
  • Take a lead role in the budget process for the business units, assisting the CFO where necessary
  • Be a key point of contact for internal and external auditors
  • Lead the monitoring of workforce planning across the business units including the integrity of reported worked hours
  • Assist the CFO in the sign-offs of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including Fixed Assets

 

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Previous experience in senior finance position
  • Team management experience, driving results and promoting development
