Management Accountant

​Edward Mann is seeking a professional Management Accountant for a permanent part-time position (3-4 days per week) with a Multi-national Recruitment & Consulting business based in Sydney’s CBD.

The purpose of the role is to assist the Financial Controller with the day to day running of the finance function. It is an all-inclusive, broad scoping role consisting of AP, reconciliations, internal management reports, forecasts, P/L and Payroll.

It is on a permanent part time basis and paying between 55-65k + Super (Estimated pro-rated salary derived from a full-time base of 80-90k + super). Salary will also be driven by your preference of doing 3 or 4 days per week. Long term this role does have the potential to transition to permanent full time.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of month end, including journal postings, accruals and prepayments.

• Preparing, analysing and delivering yearly budgets and financial reports based on performance data.

• Presenting recommendations to the business and leadership team based on financial data and reports.

• Preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet for review for Board packs.

• Cash flow – Daily review of cash balances and provide management with forecasted requirements for the week. 

• Balance sheet reconciliations – All monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Review weekly payments – Ensuring creditors are paid, reconciliations completed, and work completed within set deadlines.

• Review payroll calculations and payments.

• Facilitation of the year-end and audit process.

Desirables:

• CPA or CA Qualified, those who are studying or qualified by experience will also be considered.

• Strong experience in a commercial accounting role.

• Team – Player attitude and happy to assist with lower level and higher-level duties.

• Strong Excel skills.
