Accountant

​Edward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a nationally renowned Education organisation based in the City. This is currently a 6-month contract Accountant position, but for the right person, it will become permanent. It is paying up to 90k + Super FTE.

Directly reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for helping to provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information to management and managing payroll, as well as provide support to current AP/AR functions.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing, analysing and delivering yearly budgets and financial reports based on performance data.

• Presenting recommendations to the business and leadership team based on financial data and reports.

• Performing financial modelling, forecasting and P&L performance analysis.

• Cash flow – Daily review of cash balances and provide management with forecasted requirements for the week.

• Balance sheet reconciliations – All monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Review weekly payments – Ensuring creditors are paid, reconciliations completed, and work completed within set deadlines.

• Review payroll calculations and payments.

• Facilitation of the year-end and audit process.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• CPA or CA Qualified, those who are studying or qualified by experience will also be considered.

• Experience working in Education.

• Team – Player attitude and happy to assist with lower level and higher-level duties.

• Strong Excel skills.
