Edward Mann are recruiting for a national Aged Care business based in Tuggerah, Central Coast NSW, but with flexible working. This is a full-time position, but could also be adjusted to 25-30 hours p/w to suit working families.
This is a permanent position paying up to 75k + Super + salary packaging FTE (equivalent of circa 90k outside of NFP/Charity).
You will get exposure to the whole Billing function and in time the role has scope to develop into higher level reporting duties. The ideal person will need to be switched-on, adaptable and able to able to work independently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Admission & Billing:
Create and maintain Resident Billing records based on agreements or advice from clients or relevant government agencies.
Collaborate with Resident Managers to reconcile resident listings.
Prepare and process resident billing, including direct debit processing (both residential and retirement village).
Handle interim care fees, resident oncharging, and sundry billing.
Prepare and distribute resident statements (both residential and independent living) each billing period.
Weekly update of DHS assessment letters in the Care System.
Receipting:
Manage billing receipts (including RAD receipts) through daily banking.
Issue receipts or tax invoices upon request.
Resident Queries:
Monitor and handle the central Resident Accounts inbox daily.
Address general billing queries from residents or their representatives.
Liaise with government agencies for resolve.
Departure and Refund:
Finalise resident accounts, draft discharge letters, and process refunds (overpaid fees and accommodation bonds).
Month-End/Year End Tasks:
Update and process Lump Sum Deposits and Bonds Register in the Care System.
Assist with reconciliations related to Medicare, resident liability, AR subledger, trust accounts, and resident oncharges.
Distribute RAD Statements and other annual compliance documentation to residents.
Assist with audit and compliance requests.
Debt Collection:
Proactively manage debtor aging (according to client policy) and prepare proposals for write-offs.
Training & Process Improvement:
Lead process improvement initiatives and contribute to policy reviews.
Participate in cross-training and onboard new staff.
Handle other ad hoc tasks assigned by the team.
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in a Billing position, ideally within an Aged Care (nursing homes). But Home Care, Retirement living/village or assisted care would also be manageable.
Experience using Aged Care or Care specific systems. Ideally Care Systems and PurchasePlus
Self-motivated and proactive.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Organised and able to multi-task.
Works well in a small team environment.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
