​Job Title - Finance Analyst

Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 + benefits

Location - Epsom / Central London

Hybrid - Remote with 2/3 days in Office a month.

Position Overview:


As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with the sales team, senior executives, and various stakeholders to drive financial planning, pricing strategies, and contribute to forward-looking business strategies. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities, from detailed planning to project management, and requires a keen ability to understand and interpret the needs of the sales team in a non-finance context.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with sales professionals, decoding their requirements and effectively communicating financial information in non-finance language.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales teams to foster collaboration and achieve mutual goals.


  • Engage in detailed planning, ensuring effective execution of financial strategies.


  • Price deals and establish generic pricing brackets, contributing to competitive market positioning.


  • Manage projects as part of a mini-PMO, tracking various activities and ensuring successful project completion.


  • Contribute to forward-looking business strategies, collaborating with consultants exploring new products for the market.


  • Interface with senior executives who have limited time but ambitious goals, providing financial insights and support.


  • Utilise Excel for financial modelling and scenario-based planning.


  • Conceptually translate ideas into models, including the development of new sales incentive programs.


  • Apply storytelling techniques to convey financial insights and recommendations effectively.



Desirable:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Candidates who are not qualified with the right experience will also be considered.

  • Proven experience in a finance role, preferably in a commercial finance or business partnering capacity.

  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to perform financial modelling and scenario-based planning.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships.
