Edward Mann is recruiting for Financial Controller to join an Australian electronics manufacturer based in Clarence Gardens who work with the worlds leading technology companies. This is a locally owned and managed company with key distribution partnerships boasting over 20 years industry experience.

This is a 5-day in office role in which you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the business. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the finance team, the company's finance system, budget, forecasting, and analysis. You will also be accountable for financial reporting to senior management and the board of directors.

The client is willing to pay up to 200k + Super for the right individual who ticks all the boxes. There are other benefits including a small discretionary bonus and other non-finance related benefits as well.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement.

  • Spearhead SAP 4Hana financial system implementation and management.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

  • Conduct variance analysis, offering insights to aid decision-making.

  • Monitor key financial metrics, forecasting future performance accurately.

  • Collaborate with department heads on annual budgets and long-term financial plans.

  • Prepare comprehensive financial forecasts, considering market conditions.

  • Track budget performance, recommend resource allocation optimisation.

  • Manage cash flow for operational needs and strategic investments.

  • Implement cash management strategies to optimise working capital, minimise risk.

  • Monitor AR and AP processes to improve cash conversion cycles.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, internal policies.

  • Coordinate external audits, facilitate the audit process.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities, assess financial viability, risks.

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, revenue enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred those studying towards will still be considered.

  • Proven experience in a financial management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial management software.

  • Working Knowledge of SAP 4 Hana

  • Knowledge of Power BI

  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
