Group Finance Reporting Analyst

​Edward Mann is recruiting for a Group Accountant with a leading international educational provider based in Camberwell, Victoria. This provider is a multi-entity organisation committed to providing quality education and making a positive impact on the lives of students. As the client continues to grow and expand, they are seeking a talented and experienced Group Accountant to join the team.

About the Role

As a Group Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and transparency of the businesses financial reporting across multiple entities within the business. You will be responsible for consolidating financial data, performing financial analysis, and supporting the decision-making process through insightful reporting.

The client is willing to pay up to 120k + Super for the right candidate and potentially more for exceptional candidates with demonstratable experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for multiple entity group financial and management reporting, financial statements, etc, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

• Responsible for statutory and consolidated reporting to support strategic decision-making.

• Responsible for month-end process for the corporate entities.

• Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, helping to drive cost control and revenue optimisation.

• Ownership and presentation of the P&L, including all cost centre reporting and variance reporting.

• Drive insights-led analysis that supports growth.

• Assist with group and local audit.

• Proactively review key risks and opportunities across the business

• Actively participate in an upcoming system implementation project

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CA certification preferred (those who do not have or are studying towards this will still be considered)

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards.

• Experience with multi-entity organisations and intercompany accounting.

• Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
