Edward Mann are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading construction materials manufacturer based in Glendenning, NSW. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the growing team on a permanent basis.
This role has an excellent scope for progression where you will be leading a small team, whilst working closely with the NSW GM & Group Financial Controller.
The client is looking to pay up to $120k + Super, but potentially flexible depending on candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 4 (2x AP Staff, 2x AR staff), providing guidance & training to staff, review of AP and AR ageing with relevant staff members.
Prepare and co-ordinate regional budget and forecast.
Responsible for the preparation of the monthly and quarterly financial reports with accompanying analysis. Including P&L reporting.
Business partnering with key stakeholders from various offices and at a national level.
Designing financial models to guide process improvements and cost controls.
Responsible for major P&L reconciliations with focus on KPIs set across the business (like Wages, freight, scrap, scheduling, GP & COGS etc.
Management of the Fixed Asset Register.
Assisting GM NSW and other department heads with all relevant analysis important to decision making and driving the business forward.
Responsible for the Balance sheet reconciliation and end of month journals pertaining to NSW State.
Preparation of monthly BAS and IAS reports.
Preparation of FBT assessment for lodgment.
Skills/Competencies:
A qualified accountant and have other qualifications in Finance e.g., CA/CPA. (Candidates working towards these qualifications will still be considered)
Experience working in the construction industry highly regarded, but not essential.
Confidence in using IT systems and programs, such as Sage.
Stakeholder engagement and management
Ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
Capability to interpret and present financial information in concise way.
