Are you looking for a hands-on accounting role where you can build real capability, take on consolidated month-end work and grow your technical confidence under strong mentorship?
Then this is the perfect role for you!
This is an opportunity to join a long-standing, well-run Australian business with a highly supportive finance team.
You’ll work closely with a manager who is known for their patient, structured training style. You will be given clear processes, step-by-step guides and a genuine focus on helping you develop robust accounting fundamentals.
Based in Campbelltown, NSW with on-site parking and paying up to 85k + Super. This role is 5 days on-site, but with flexibility around start/finish times to work around your family and lifestyle commitments.
This is a brand-new role, because the business is growing and the finance team needs another capable pair of hands. If you are switched-on, curious and comfortable getting out into the business, this is a role you don’t want to miss out on!
The opportunity:
• Salary up to $85k + super, with potential to flex for an outstanding candidate
• Flexibility on start/finish times for school drop-off/pick-up and life commitments.
• Great team culture with leaders who are patient, direct and invested in your development
• Exposure to a broad range of consolidated month-end tasks, not just AP/AR
• Clear long-term growth in responsibility as you build capability
• A business close to home, known for stability, community and treating people well
This is your chance to step into a role where your foundations will strengthen quickly, your work will genuinely matter, and you’ll have the support of leaders who want to see you succeed.
What you’ll be doing:
• Prepare and post journals including WIP, variances, commissions and other month-end schedules
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and review data for accuracy
• Assist with BAS, FBT, income tax schedules and other statutory requirements
• Support manufacturer-style reporting and analysis across multiple business units
• Maintain fixed asset registers, additions and disposals
• Assist with insurance claims and liaise with stakeholders as needed
• Participate in stocktakes and coordinate with managers across different sites
• Provide general accounting support and contribute to improving month-end processes
What we’re looking for:
This team needs someone who can hit the ground running. Not entry-level, but someone who has the fundamentals and wants to keep building on them.
• Proven understanding of accounting principles, debits/credits and month-end processes
• Confident, approachable and comfortable communicating with people across the business
• Strong Excel skills and ability to follow structured processes
